ORANGE STUFF

Hi folks,  Here's some orange stuff--perfect time of year for it.
I read the email from Joanne about something orange and I looked out the window and saw the orange moon just after sunset low in the west.
#1  This is how it looked in the sky but the picture came out a lot whiter (any ideas) so I tweaked in a little orange to make it look the way I saw it.   1/60 f5.6 iso400 400mm

#2  Garden harvest 1/3 sec f22 iso100  13mm wide angle I wanted everything in focus so-- f22 aperture-but look at shutter speed--hard to hand hold still enough. I gotta start using the tripod

#3  1/1000 f2.8 iso800 13mm
#4  From my Tucson trip- If I lived there I'd do this every night     I used the flash to light up the bushes       1/125 f5.6 iso200 11mm

#5  My gardeners                       1/125 5.6 iso800  44mm

#6 1/15sec f2.8 iso100 13mm

  2. Oh my, #1, & #4 blow me away - whew! All are great shots and a great looking family! For me tilting #6 slightly definitely adds interest - bravo!
What lens did you use on 1 and 4? I'm so afraid of night photography but your settings make me think that maybe I could tackle it!

    1. Canon 100-400mm L series lens on the moon. Leaning on the van and holding still.
Tokina 11-16 2.8 wide angle zoom on the sunset.
Get one of those little headlamps and go out there. Write down the pic # and settings. Actually the settings are recorded with the pic. Keep moving the settings around.

  3. P.S. The window in #3 &#4 is to die for! It has so much character and has so much potential for photos, and the reflections in it are awesome. I hope we see more of that window in the future!

    1. Some glass replaced with pieces of aluminum but a lot are still the wavy glass from the old days. I noticed the cool reflections right away when we took the pictures.
