Yea, it's late night Saturday and here I am foolin' around with cameras and candles. It was a good assignment Mark. I am really enjoying these weekly tasks. Learning something each time. I set the f stop high to get depth of field so my shutter speed was slower. After reviewing these I think I should have gotten away from that wall and shot out in the open with no background on some.

Hi Burr, I really like #1, & #2. The way the light plays through the glass of the dolphins is interesting. What is #5? I can't figure out what it is!
ReplyDeleteThat is a big chunk of coral. The candle light makes for soft focus on this material.
DeleteMy faves are #3 & #4. Like Amy, you captured the light without actually showing a flame. (LOL - that never even occurred to me.) Nice work here!
ReplyDeleteI didn't get the memo I guess. I just used the light from the candle. My candle was ugly anyway.
DeleteI really love your use of the objects to get the candle effects and highlight them...I have to disagree with you regarding the background in number 1.. I think that really worked.....the colors blended so well in that.....the corral and light on it was fantastic also and #2 is just such a beautiful shot....wonderful pictures Burr!!!!
ReplyDeleteI liked the warmth in these photos, #2 was my favorite the shadows create a unique pattern and the colors are great.
