Well Mr. Tucker....once again, you've outdone yourself!! Every single photo is a keeper. I actually LOVE that you searched your attic/upstairs and found this old newspaper. That was a great post!!
ReplyDeleteI'll also pick my other favorites are all of the night shots!! I'm going to try my hand at a few of these techniques too. BEAUTIFUL! Oh, and the B&W's are gorgeous!!
Beautiful work, as usual!
Thanks Lynn,
DeleteI really like doing these tasks.
The night work is where you learn lighting. Now that we don't have to worry about film $$$$.
Start with one sec then two and so on until it's right. Use your timer to start the shot and give you some time to do things. Then if it's too light close up the apeture so not so much light gets in. Soon it all clicks.
GREAT photos! I never even thought of the aireator! And I loved reading the newspaper, manat was so cool! I ink we could do an entire topic on night lighting, loved all these photos too. Very interesting B&w's, the spiderweb and the garden chair are both intriguing. As always, I enjoyed your intreptation of the assignment!
ReplyDelete#3 and #10 were my favorites but I love the effort you put into all of these pictures.....the old newspaper was a gem of an idea...great job as always Burr
ReplyDeletewhere's Broadway market? they have some great prices! Your B&W's are excellent - loved the chair! did you use external lighting on this one! The chair 'stood' out - really cool! and the spider web - again great lighting, focus and comp.... and I think you're the only one that I've seen so far that captured the idea of shooting from the ground - that being capturing that idea, especially with the swing! as for the idea of learning from everyone's 'attempts' in this blog, your use of the lights on a cell phone is something I've never considered! Lighting is the 'holy grail' of photography and its really fun to see how folks work with it without resorting to 'studio setups'! Thanks for the great tips/examples! going to try it out on something yet to be determined....
