Weekly challenge #21 Circles

I had fun with this one. Once you start looking for circles you see them for days after the project is done.

Hi guys,  Lots of circles around here.

I added the frame???  1/60 sec 4.5    iso 1600
 1/4000   f/8  iso 3200 @400mm
Just noticed optical illusion-- innies or outies  1/180  f5.6   iso400 @90mm

 1/125  5.6  iso400  33mm
Gift wrap-- 1/130  f5.6  iso 1600

 Toaster buttons    1/4sec 5.6  iso400   135mm

These are not Corvette Wheels Mark   They are the bottoms of juice bottles.
1/180   f4.5  iso 1600

I did not take this for the challenge !!!!! It was 2 years ago.  For educational purposes I thought I would show it.  It's a daytime moon.  I saw it up there in the blue sky and tried it.  Leaned against the truck and shot a few. It was still pretty small in the photo so I really cropped it from the original. 1/640   f/9  iso 400  400 mm  Lots of circles.

  1. Hi Burr, Here are my faves: # 3, 1 & 5. Is 3 batteries? - I really like the colors and the 3 circles in each - perfect! #1 I like the colors and everydayness of your change bowl. #5 the colors and composition are simple and makes you want to study it. I have always wanted to try to shoot the moon, you have a wonderful pic - worth printing! Enjoyed all your pics!

    1. Thanks Joanne,
I like 5 for some reason. So simple. I originally cloned out that little tag of paper on the one roll. After looking at it I decided to leave it in. It makes the picture work. Go figure.

  2. My favorites are #1 and #4. I like the vibrant color in #1....that's some crazy orange. Using the buttons on the cushion with the stripes as the alternative shows your great eye. I also thought the juice bottle bottoms was terrific....and I'll admit that I thought they were some sort of automotive wheels. The moon is also great so thanks for sharing that even though it is something you shot in the past.

    1. Hi Lynn,
I was trying to match the color of the bright pennys. I could have gone into the color spectrum but I grabbed a stock color.
I saw that moon in mid day and thought why not try it. I have tried night time shots and it's difficult.

  4. I really like the money shot. I had one of my jar of change as well but it didn't make the cut. I like all the color in that one. I also really like the toaster buttons the texture inside the circles makes the pic pop.

  6. I'm going with number 4 as my favorite but I could have just s easily chosen 1 or 2 since I really liked them also...for me number 4 was just perfect in it's simplicity, I loved the almost translucent effect you got with the colors.. Great job Burr, now hurry up and get back to Michigan so I can get some pointers from you first hand .....

    1. I would have really liked to see the street light with the pole gone or just in between the lights. I took it out the car window and really didn't see the pole in relation to the lights.

  7. Wow, Burr, you really saw circles- impressive! I really like the simplicity of #5 and the edge of the paper trailing off the spool, but all of them invite me in to explore. The moon shot is fantastic, so in focus and detailed for just "leaning up against the truck, shooting a few and cropping from the original!" Thanks for sharing.
